The blinkers from Blues in this thread are so bad its an embarrassment.

Ref was shit. if he was any good, we would have been 2-0 down at half time.....he missed a goal for them and a pen for us.......thats all.

It is not. And, that call is the absolute hardest to make. Even with 1/25th of a second freeze frame, the TV pundits are saying Kolarov's FOOT was playing him onside, as Kolarov was running out and Mirrallas was running in! That is virtually an IMPOSSIBLE call for the linesman to get right because almost a the instant he looks along the line to check for offside as the ball is played off the header, Mirallas is in a dead cert "offside position!"

Seen it done, as has everyone else, but nowadays it would be seen as embarrassing a fellow (assistant) referee!


We see the Mirallas-type decision week in, week out. The Fellaini handball, on the other hand(!), is something I don't think I have EVER seen before! Without exaggeration, he is a FULL TWO YARDS INSIDE the box and it HAS TO be a booking if it is a foul, as it is a shot on goal. Had it been much closer (inside the 6 yard box) it would have been a red card......unless your name is Rafael, of course, then it is "play on!"

Has he explained what he actually gave the free kick for,the Osman handball/foul or the Fellani one?If it was the Fellani one then Fellani should have walked as it was a blatant handball and booking,whether inside or outside the area.

In truth we got what we desreved,nothing,but it was a penalty and Fellani should have walked.At the end of the day we would still be 13 points behind the rags with a draw.We have to now show some pride,try and reduce the gap,hopefully win the cup,though many more showings like yesterday and none of these things are a given!

We then do what the rags did.Go away,regroup and strengthen and come back stronger,instead of weaker as we did this season.

If we can beat them at the Swamp and win the FA Cup, it will be a pleasant end to the season, as they will not have done the doubles (League and Cup or Home and Away), we will be 2nd int he League, which would be historic after winning it last season, and we would have won another prestigious trophy.

However, on the Soton and Everton performances, we don't stand a chance. On the Chelsea performance, it is a dead cert!

So, who will turn up for the rest of the season, now there is only the FA Cup to play for? We have some serious games against teams who need points for CL (Spurs) and to avoid relegation (Wigan & Reading), and they will be giving it THEIR all, Will we?

It's not so much United as a club that referees are scared of it is Ferguson. He speaks more about referees in the lead up to a game than any other manager, getting his sly digs into their minds, just look at his false penalty claims about us in the lead up to the derby.

Any that do cross him get foul abuse or chased up the pitch at half time, all he gets from the FA is an invite to "explain his comments"

If there is an referee bias towards united it will deacrease when he finally goes and the referees like the rest of us can give a collective sigh of relief.
