Their goal shouldn’t have stood for hand ball AND offside, our goal shouldn’t have come as the free kick shouldn’t have been given, Silva’s was a penalty and Kun’s wasn’t.

There are a couple of videos of the tackle from yesterday and its no surprise that one view of it, from behind has been taken down as its as clear as day the shove which takes Merlin out.

I know there was contact because I know the type of player Silva is, because I've watched him for years. He doesn't dive and he doesn't get upset with referees for no reason. I've not seen the incident back but I'm sure there's contact with Silva's ankle which causes him to kick his own foot, then the Wolves player pushes him in the back. Definite penalty.

Ref totally lost this match now,he be in league 2 next week,knew he had ballsed up for pen,he would of been lucky to get out of Newcastle alive,and quite rightly

It is time ditch English referees. The system has failed. I don't know how or why but they are not fit for purpose.

I can only guess that those that reach the top do so for political reasons.

The premier league need to use some of the money to employ foreign referees who are fit for purpose.

PL is big business and incompetent corrupt English refs are there to make it interesting between top clubs. They have lot of tools -giving penalties for dives, giving goals for handballs or off-sides, ignoring valid penalty claims and if difficult to get such a decision in then there are always red cards to hand around.
