Referees’ Performances 2018/19

Just seen the penalty incident on Sterling in the 2nd half. That's a stonewall pen for me. Chowdhury gets a touch but its Chilwell coming in after who cleans him out. If that happens in the centre circle it's a free kick 100%. Dean bottled it or was under orders

That's the bit I fail to understand. One Leicester player touched the ball, the other just cleaned Raz out. Stonewall penalty as was the one not given at Burnley. They are certainly under orders, and judging off what the scouse bastards have gleaned this season, they certainly are.

staffs_blue probably under orders to help Liverpool win the Premier League title last night. But hey how can you prove it, if he was being biased or has been told to give every decision to Leicester where ever possibly last night. But hey we have had refs like this all season so what's the difference if we had another one last night. Let's face it if we have had decent ref's all season, and given us the right decisions, we would have had the premier league title in the bag right now.

I thought Dean did OK in general. But winning the ball does not preclude the possibility that a foul can be committed simultaneously. So Choudhury winning the ball against Sterling in the second half, does not mean that Chilwell didn’t foul Sterling. Vinnie touched the ball in a tackle, but was nevertheless cautioned because he also fouled the Leicester player. I think Chilwell fouled Sterling and it should have been a penalty.

There is scant evidence to accuse Dean of acting under instruction last night. It would have required some extraordinary powers of imagineering to contrive a reason for disallowing Vinnie’s goal.

Choudhury just got a touch on the ball, but Chilwell comming in from the side created a Sterling Sandwich that is a foul 100% of the time outside the box, so why not inside the box?
Evans's double handball was a stone well pen as well.
The most annoying thing though was the different threshold to what constitutes a foul. The bar was much higher for Leicester than for City, and that, ladies and gentlemen, is how referees bend football games.

All fans do.

Do you not see the irony of posting this in a thread set up for whining about referee's performances.

We've won 195 points in 2 seasons and still moan like bastards about referees. It's what sports fans do
The thread is for discussing referee performance, whether good, bad or indifferent.

I accept most football fans think their club are badly treated by officials.

I think wins of late have been inspite of officials failing to give clear and obvious penalties, like the handball at Burnley and the sandwich on Sterling yesterday.

The PL has said it would like a different PL winner each season and the officiating seems to follow that.

Liverpool have had a huge amount of penalties from dives, hopefully VAR will correct most of them next season, and give us the clear and obvious one's that are being overlooked.

Thought the foul on Sterling was 50-50 to be honest, not as near as the stonewall penalty we had at Burnley but you'd bet your bottom dollar on both of those being awarded if for Liverpool the way things have gone this season.

What about yellow for Jesus? was that harsh. Jesus was a little bit all over the place when he came on.

If that challenge is made on Salah he gets a penalty and the two players get 6 months in prison.
