We always slate the officials when they fuck up, whether we were involved in the game in question or not.

We've had some shite decisions this season, bu I think today the officials were as near perfect as you could get.

So let's BIG them up and appreciate their efforts.

The linesmen were spot on every time, so much so quite_riot was frustrated that they weren't making mistakes (only kidding buddy) and the Ref Martin Atkinson was that good you never knew he was there.

Regardless how poor they may have been for us in the past I would like to recognise their efforts today!

It was a foul on the defender if you ask me thats why it was given.

He could and should (if going by the book) have booked Sterling in the first half. Common sense was applied and he was spared.

The bald liner used to work at Direct Line in Leeds. He might still. I was chatting to him about 4 years ago because he'd been given his first Premier League game and it was us vs Villa. He made two shockers which resulted in us getting penalties. Always liked him. Nice bloke as well.

I wish we could have Atkinson every week. Yeh he makes the odd mistake but you always feels he's honest and speaks through his decisions with the players and isn't at all arrogant. Top ref in my view. AND STERLING WAS 3 YARDS OFFSIDE ON SILVA'S GOAL AS HE CHALLENGED THE DEFENDER SO INTERFERING. Get it in your head guys. Yes most weeks we are screwed but not today. Just enjoy the win and stop finding things to winge about

Haha @BigJoe#1 , I was frustrated because those kind of calls (correct ones!) usually go the other way when the rags are involved, hence their 9 offside goals or whatever it is.
