Referees' Performances | 2025/26

We (the club) need to make a stand and tell the FA that Twatwell won't be refereeing us again. Tell them that we will no longer stand for his obvious corruption.
Gillett is even worse, how he can think thats not a free kick to us, after his Cup final performance also shows he is clearly bent. Club should be demanding answers

I'm glad I'm not alone, I thought it was very unfairly refereed. It seemed to me that everytime an arsenal player went to ground he gave a free kick, and we got very few, yes some of ours go down to easily too. The goal came from a foul on Nico, which watching the replay he thought it was a foul by Nico, and because they were in possession he waved play on.

Nico did tread on his foot, but the arsenal player fouled him first.

And yet VAR took a cursory look and waved it through, flip it around and it gets forensically checked and ruled out.

Bent as fuck, seven minutes?? And four in the first half, was the game really stopped for 11 mins worth of injury time?
I did spot somebody on a bench(couldn't tell which) with a stopwatch in his hand, were they clocking the stoppages???
He also played more than two over the seven for no reason At HT we had a corner after the four minute but blew for time You can bet it would have been less minutes if arse was winning and allowed them a corner He’s a corrupt fucker did us over with the ghost goal at the swamp and the FAC final

Twatwell gonna Twatwell and a draw is good enough for the Scouse loving bastard on VAR.

Two things said in the 5 live commentary.

"Jarred Gillette is in the ear of Attwell over the trossard incident" (first half)

"That has to go to VAR? The city bench are furious! Gillette says it's clear so the goal stands."

Why can't we listen to this in real time?

Until we do I can't help but put my username on and think Gillette is saying; "Fuck it it's City"

Think he got some right and a lot wrong, for both sides. The unequal view of some of the challenges was a huge frustration, with Doku in particular being short changed and a lot of suggestion that Nico was fouled on the build up to their equaliser.

But the ones that got me were the offside. One in particular where arsenal launched it forward, I think it was trossard or martinelli who was very obviously a few yards offside, but Nunes gets there first and heads it out. Decision? Corner to arsenal. I looked up for the assistant referee and he was still somewhere near the halfway line, absolutely miles out of line to even give it.

If you don't see it you can't give it. So if you make sure you're looking at your own arse when arsenal attack then it's all good?

I don’t think it was a foul on Nico. Calafiori didn’t actually touch Nico, it was Nico who ended up standing on Calafiori.

That one pissed me off. Basically claiming that Trossard isn’t interfering with play because the ball does get to him, even though it’s only Nunes that prevents it going to him, and if Trossard wasn’t there, he wouldn’t have had to head it. Not quite up there with the BS Rashford ‘not interfering’ decision, but not far off.

And while we’re at it, can we just talk about their other new tactic at free kicks of getting one person off the ball the basically push a defender back so the rest of the team is onside? How the fuck is that not a blatant foul?

Apparently not in the PL. The ban is only in the EFL . News to me but you can bet that if we start doing them the ban will come in faster than yesterday
I thought you were no longer allowed a towel for long throws…?

Shatwell is a bent bastard and has always been a bent bastard. Any game we have got him and we avoid defeat is a massive bonus.

I have a question ? How can the Premier League facilitate fairly in our games when we clearly have won many legal battles against them, The answer is they can't, it's clearly on show with the match officials.

I think it's cheating at the highest order in the game; they don't even wear a mask or try to hide it now, Manchester City have a major problem on their hands. I don't think it can be just brushed under the carpet this time. Somebody from the club has to stand up and call them out and bring up the question

They are taking the piss and just waving away any call for a foul is dangerous for us with players getting battered every game, Doku took a hell of a beating yesterday and got kicked out of the game, even when Pep reacted to a bad tackle from behind on Doku, he got a yellow card haha, Arteta was at it all game waving his hands and moaning about the referee not giving them a free kick

So again, My Question is how does Manchester City get a fair crack at the whip

He was weak that ref yesterday. Agreed with Neville on that when he allowed Gabriel to shout in his face for a minute or so
