Nearly as bad as Allo Allo.Glaswegian Bible;
Aye! See you Jimmy.
Fnck Awf n de it yerself!
I’m guessing.
You are aware that the bible is the word of God? And Jesus did say he good to your masters. Google it.You are aware that’s Peter and not Jesus in the Gospels, right?
Nice copy and paste job but that doesn’t endorse slavery, it’s in line with doing well to those who do badly to you.
Peter 2:19 goes on to say “For it is commendable if someone bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because they are conscious of God.”
It’s not telling people to take slaves.
Also, slaves back then weren’t slaves like the transatlantic slave trade, poor people would choose to go into slavery in the ancient Roman Empire to guarantee shelter and food for their labour.
The industry was completely different, although I’m not claiming it was moral, it just wasn’t as bad as the African slave trade in the new world.
No I’m not aware that it is.You are aware that the bible is the word of God? And Jesus did say he good to your masters. Google it.
No it doesn’t, the study of religion is fascinating, even if you don’t believe any of its claims.Even talking about religion legitimises it, weird how people who don't believe in it have to have a label too.

The New Testament, and Old for that matter, has been incredibly influential in shaping European history.
To ignore it is ignorance of our history.
It’s not quite that black and white, despite not being religious I can appreciate elements humanity have got from it, it’s not all crusades and burning at the stake. Then it needs to be taught as just that "History" a history that we should never look back on as the way it should be.
When you stand in front of someone who would put an invisible non existent dream before his/her family you don't pander to their views you dismiss them.

You cannot teach about the civil rights movement in the US and Martin Luther King, without talking about how he positively used Christianity within that movement.
Or the huge amounts of charity religions do around the world.
But at the same time you shouldn’t ignore the atrocities in its name either, it’s a double edged sword.
It’s man made because it reflects us, not the other way around.
Nobody has a scooby do if the thing is a thing or not :-)Mate I am not arguing with you about a thing that isn't a thing that would mean I am validating it :)
