Remembering Colin Bell

He was the reason I started following City.
He played for Bury (my home town) and was my Hero. Always bumped into him in the Cafe in the centre,Rosamar I think? where all the Bury players went after training and he was always happy to sign autographs.
Once Bury sold him to City I switched clubs
It all started well but we had a few lean years as well ;-)

Today is the fourth anniversary of the day that the one true king, Colin The King Bell tragically left us.

We must never ever forget the great man not just for his great football ability, which would see him start for any City team in history but his humble nature too he was the perfect model pro.

He might be before a lot of people's time but Colin Bell is unquestionably the most underrated footballer in English football history, it's not even a debate and I feel he's becoming more underrated in our own fanbase year by year by those younger who might not appreciate our history.

So I raise my glass and say, let's drink a drink to the King...

Just like Scaffold sang:

Lets, drink a drink, a drink
to Colin the the King, the King, the King

Never forgotten in this household, RIP Colin.
