Remembering Colin Bell

Dad who was born in the early 1930s always said Peter Doherty was the best player he ever saw with Colin Bell a very close second, I think King Colin was the best I ever saw with David Silva a very close second.

My father was born in 1928 and said the same about Doherty. Then for him it was Yaya. My grandfather loved Mike Doyle because he hated United. I think my father would now shift to KDB.

i was lucky to get to see him, after his injury i think he returned boxing day v Newcastle but i missed that game then i went to Leeds in the FA Cup which he played in, i cant recall if that was the game with the crowd trouble
It was the game where they invaded the pitch in attempt to get the game abandoned. I was there, Bell hit the bar with a great header, best player on the field hobbling on one leg.

PA announcement to Leeds tw.ts, the referee has stated that if he has to stay until midnight, he will finish this game.
Colin on one leg was a heartbreak to me, all that we saw before ruined by Buchan. Hope he never sleeps the bastard.

Getting the king tattoo in a couple of weeks

The best player of our past

We have been lucky having so many class players

But only one will ever be the king
My Hero the greatest City player ever!! One sight I will always remember was see him walking ( hobbling) from the car park at Sale Golf Club to play in a City charity golf day. It was a honour to have a chat with him, but I could have cried seeing him limp. But it dint stop him playing!! The nicest guy you could meet!!! RIP King Colin!
