Remembering Yaya!

He wasn’t in the mood for 3 or 4 season. He had one amazing season, then a few years at a good level with some huge moments involved. He certainly was a game changer though, one of a kind “when in the mood”
One amazing season? Although you are of course entitled to your opinion you are talking utter bollocks

That's disrespectful in the extreme to the true legends. I'd love to understand why you think a 19 year old Phil Foden could possibly be classed as a legend? I think Phil Foden would be embarrassed by the thought as a City fan himself, growing up watching players like Kompany, Aguero, Silva etc...
Disrespectful? No idea what Fodens view is.its mine...
Whats your view on Bell being a Bury legend even tho a teenager.......given your absurd comment that a legend cant be 25 years old.

Truth is 'when in the mood' happened, his biggest fanboy has said it, twice.

I've never heard that about Kompany, Zabaleta, Silva, Aguero or Fernandinho strangely. Attitude and hardwork should be the bare minimum expected, sadly it wasn't with Toure, as you quite rightly say. Hence the 50/50 split of fans, even away from the off field activities.
Oh..so its the lazy yaya mantra now is it.lol barely missed a gane for us but he doesnt like hard work.lol.only had to move country learn a diff language numerous times and prove himself a top top player in about 5 different countries...i wonder what you ve achieved in your life you little aggressive 1894 Muppet

Calling Foden a legend after 61 apps at 19 years old, is very strange. As for Bell, I'm not old enough to know what he did for Bury on or off the pitch, so I'll refrain from answering that one. Knowing a good few Bury fans, it's the first time I've heard his name mentioned as a legend amongst them, however, that again could be due to the age of my mates.

Oh oh oh, hang on a minute... It wasn't me who originally said Toure wasn't always "in the mood", that was @Jogon 127. The very same poster who said Toure was above ALL our other legends "on his day", just to reiterate the point on laziness as you call it. It's strange how that's quite a popular opinion even amongst his fans.

The fact that Colin Bell was captain of the Bury 1st team at 19 years of age should tell you quite a lot... An education if you like.

The fact the club were relegated the season after he left them to join Manchester City...perhaps suggests, his influence on first team performances was pretty strong. The point i am making is you can not,in my book, suggest that any age has to be attainded to be called a legend as a Footballer.

Regards Foden..Honours wise.....he is probably the most decorated 19 year old in the History of English Top flight Football. His audaciuos talent,as a true, two -footed skilful attacking midfielder with an eye for goal,an incisive pass and excellent first touch, together with the fact he is the first proper graduate from our Academy to the first team, with such wonderful experienced international players ahead of him,means..in my book,he is already a Manchester City Legend.

Now my view may be different from yours...thats fair enough, but ive supported my view ..as well as i can ..as a watcher, and player of football over several decades.Fodens unique skill set stand out to me....and no i dont think he will be embarrassed...given that players of his rare talent are praised from day one...they are used to it. Take a bit of time, educate yourself and see what Pep said about Phil Foden after his debut for City aged 16 against Manchester utd in America pre season.read what Pep said to the global press post match.....you will find that my comments sone 3 years later resemble faint praise. in comparison...
Before you start bouncing your mouth on this forum calling other posters comments embarrasing, check the facts out first.

Please elaborate on these 3-4 seasons, I'd love to understand which seasons specifically. The 20 goal season, yes absolutely no problem, I'm struggling to name any others.

He was AWOL in a large proportion of games; Barry/De Jong and later Fernandinho had to be monsters to compensate for Toure's lack of desire to do the dirty work (just like Ndombele at Spurs now). Talent is irrelevant, look at De Bruyne, just as good if not better than Toure AND he does the hard graft too.

I’ll respect what you remember him as, equally I’d ask you to respect mine.

He was a phenomenon in my eyes and trying to dissect each season and downplaying his contribution is completely wide of the mark.

He was a big game player, a colossus, a player that struck fear into all. That’s just him for me at least.

I get the lazy tag especially towards the end with us, but for me 2011-2014 he was untouchable and at a time where the mindset needed to change in our club as a whole.

Let’s just agree to disagree.

FWIW Barry in particular was very underrated and De Jong was a fine player of course.
