Not sure who told @tolmie's hairdoo that the clubs assumption was always that Lodi wasn’t available and if he was we’d be there. Clearly way off the mark as we have shown zero interest despite him being available for peanuts on loan.

We've had some good opportunities this window to buy some very good players but we've ignored them all, weve got the smallest squad in the league, and these players are affordable I just don't get why we wont buy, a couple of players would make all the difference

Lodi isn't one of these "very good players" so be disappointed.

City aren't going to go after players simply to fill a gap. Never mind the fact that if they are even be good enough for us then they can probably start for several clubs across Europe and when that happens why would they sign for us.

Because he was badgered into talking about him at every opportunity. Now the media haven't got a clue about our interest in Lodi, so it's unlikely he'd be volunteering to talk about him

Reasonably astute business €5m loan fee with option to buy at €30m. Lodi gets an opportunity to show he can cut it in the Premiership, Forest get a left back of potential.
Expensive loan but better than blowing €30m+ if he fails to replicate his promise or does not settle.
Assume he is desperate to play in the Premiership and this is the last opportunity to make it happen this season
Forest must have run out of pegs in their dressing room by now though

We don't really do "punts" anymore, unless you count the likes of Gomez, Zinchenko and Angelino,that kind of ends up in our squads by chance, which is a bit boring and sometimes frustraying but it is hard to fault our transfer policy lately

I don't know anything about his attitude but he is pretty much an entirely defensive player and totally unremarkable on the ball.
