Return of Supporters

It is incorrect to say that Cityzens members maybe can't afford a ticket or scrimp to get their tickets. To me, they are simply not as committed a City fan as season ticket holders.
I appreciate your frustration, and won't comment on the rest of the post because you make decent points but This comment is a fucking disgrace

This isn't normal circumstances. None of us have a season card for this season therefore the game should be treated as any other cup game regardless of its venue and usual qualifying process used.

If city matters fought for the people on 22k+ to be guaranteed a ticket then they are obviously putting value to the points they've accrued over the years, so the same should apply for everybody and the entire 10k allocation not a tiny fraction at the top of the chain. A guy on 22k points is guaranteed a ticket but a guy on 21990 has as much chance as a first year season card holder.

You talk about the "I'm alright Jack attitude" something I agree with you on generally speaking with regards to a lot of our fans, however, City matters have very clearly taken a let's ensure we look after ourselves stance by pushing for a points based allocation to ensure they and the select few are alright Jack.

I'm on City Matters, I don't have 22k points and as Prestwich Blue mentioned earlier on in the thread, I'm pretty sure no one else on City Matters does either. Its very unfair to say we've "looked after ourselves".

What I want to know is, (not taking the piss either it's a genuine question)

Who is top of the Points League?

How many points does he/she have and do they gave the maximum that have been available.

Anyone care to say how many they have at the higher end.

(A Dipper will probably come forward to claim the title actually, or John Terry)

I normally agree with what you say and appreciate your insight into all things City.

However, in this instance, I feel it is completely wrong to allow Cityzen members equal chance to get a ticket as per City season ticket holders with thousands of points.

This ballot scheme is similar to the 1999 Play Off final, when a late decision allowed all those in the queue to buy two tickets each regardless of who they were for. I had to pay a fortune for a ticket off a tout for that match and years later met someone at work who said, 'Yeah I saw City once, a mate got me a ticket for the 1999 Play Off final'. Grrr!

Anyhow, back on track, it's not one 'f**ing game. It's seeing City lift the Premier league trophy and our last chance to see Aguero. This match is too important for it to be open to Cityzens who in years to come will say, Yeah I saw City once, when Aguero got a hatrick in his final match!

I have to argue on that Seaford. I have been a supporter since ‘54 and spent 23 in the forces only getting to games when home on leave, then when I left I couldn’t afford to go every week as I saw a reduction of 50% in my pay so got a Cityzen card and got to 2 or 3 games a season. I have managed to get a SC now after retiring. Why shouldn’t someone like me who have followed City through all the bad times be given the opportunity? Not all Cityzen card holders can afford to go to every game, some work daft shifts or, like me, have to travel ridiculous miles and can’t possibly get to every game. I have 4500 points and if someone on less than me gets to go I would expect them to give the boys a shout for me.

I find all this selfish ‘I have more points than him’ attitude a little upsetting. I would love to have the money to get to matches abroad and all the away matches and there are many, many true blue City fans like me. Some of us are not so fortunate as some who want to deprive us of the excitement of seeing City.

With respect PB, there’s no I’m alright Jack attitude from me. I’ll get a ticket cos I’ve got more than 22k points. I was sympathising with those who have got just less than 22k and will lose out to somebody with 1k
30,000 season card holders will miss out, if all want to attend. And had it not been for me and the others on City Matters you'd be in the ballot with everyone else. So a thank you would be nice.
