I never usually post in threads like this, but having known Rick nearly all his life, he is still a mate and is still relatively the same person I've always known, which is remarkable in its self given what he has achieved and gone through. I'll be honest, he was never the best boxer ever but he worked hard and won a lot for a scally from denton. So fair play to him. Regards his drugs and such after boxing...i suppose its difficult when all youve known is boxing since you were a kid and all of a sudden you arent able to do it anymore...a lot of footballers have gone the same way so hes not alone. Even collymore is respected now..who wudda thought that?

Well iv'e known him on and off for say 10 years, not a hanger on in his boozer waiting for a £2.25 pint, so i'd be interested to hear your thoughts on his right cross across rays jaw???

I hear people saying his mates should have been there for him in his dark times and kept him on the straight and narrow but I would imagine it's difficult to tell someone that's been so famous and successful what to do for the best.

i've had a cheeky **** asleep for 14hrs for standing on me best Cordavons, though in me defence he clearly meant to dirty them cause of some deep rooted insecurity he was trying to transfer my way.Strokes/folks

It's legit for this circumstance. Unless you happen to be Muhammed Ali, denigrating the boxing career of a multi-World Champion by calling him a bum isn't on simply because your opinion is nonsense.
