Rishi Sunak

It's an odd concept in the future 63 year old puffing away 62 year old old says give us a fag mate, sorry laddy you're too young.

so you think in what - in 36 years time someone will still be spending massive amounts on a pack of cigs will still be smoking and someone who has never smoked will not understand the damage smoking does and think
"hey I think I need to take up smoking because at my age I have missed out" ?

Sorry but anyone thinking along these lines - and I have seen plenty of Tory MP's adopting this line today - is utter bollocks. If enforced this law will have its intended results. You are using an argument that failed when breathalysers were brought in and when smoking in public buildings was.

I am saying neither of those things, im saying having a policy where you can smoke at one age and not another as an adult is daft and unworkable. Everybody knows smoking is bad, everybody knows smoking is very expensive. A bit like alcohol really. We are also aware of the dangers of certain foods.

Maybe we can have a 25 year old nicely pissed and eating a kebab and a 24 year old on Earl Grey munching on a carrot.

Usual PMQ performance

Digs at Raynor avoiding tax and the the obligatory 'But Corbyn!' references.

That was just the first 2 questions!
Starmer seemed to quite enjoy watching Sunak avoid answering questions.

You can tell there are local elections coming up, Conservative MP after another asking Sunak to sneer at local politicians.

Isn’t it just trying to remove tobacco products, rather than banning it altogether?

The tax angle is an interesting one though.

I don’t disagree with your sentiment and would look at making cheap food less unhealthy too.

The age thing just means anyone born in 2009 onwards should never get access to tobacco products. Should being the operative word.
Stop the Smokes.

Sunak exploiting the death of a child for political capital - stay classy ya Twat

The Pandemic
Ukraine war putting prices up.
But Labour...

"We're turning a corner."

Seems to be election mantra.
We had that utterly detestable Philp on LK this morning, bludgeoning in ‘No plan, voted for Corbyn‘, and all the other Tory slurs on Labour.

These cunts are pathetic and are waking up to the reality that the electorate have seen through their total incompetence to look after those that they are supposed to serve.

Self-servants.

I don't bother listening to Tory K anymore. She let's Tory ministers talk bollocks then amplifies that bollocks. Follows up with the ripping the bollocks off the opposition minister.

Same here and was a one off as I wanted to see if there had been any change. Alas, still the same, allowing Philp to say what he wanted but using the same old trope with Streeting about ‘Not having a Tory member to refute those allegations, so will do it for them’.

Streeting was asked what the defector was getting out of the move across the floor, insinuating that he was getting a ministerial post, trying to undermine the move, but not understanding that he is not standing at the next election.

The fact that they interviewed him and still couldn’t get the detail right is really telling. The reality is that it was a shot at Labour from what is supposed to be an impartial commentator.

He’s got another headache coming up with his Rwanda policy, Dublin bringing in legislation to send them back to the UK. Could be a good thing we would be justified in sending asylum seekers back to France.
No one cares about people fleeing war torn countries and world poverty let’s just keep moving them on such a disgusting policy to treat human beings this way.
I’m just praying the country will vote them out because their policies are causing so much misery

Why didn't they house them all in Northern Ireland, given they could just walk over the border into Ireland?

Would have been cheaper than Rwanda!
