At the moment he just doesn't fit into the team, the word team being the operative word. He is playing for himself, wanting to be the main man to the detriment of the end result. Yesterday he shot probably three times from very narrow angles when passing to a teammate may have won us the game. Pep needs to impress this into him very quickly or he will be restricted to a role from the bench until.he learns.

Using the analogy that people were convinced alligator's lived in the underground in New York to say my post was rubbish lol?

I believed it to be correct at the time of posting it. He came from Leicester where they allowed him to try and do everything on his own as he was their one and only creative talent. A combination of this and probably trying too hard to make his mark had led to some selfish decision making at times. Yesterday was a marked improvement barring one shot from an impossible angle in the first half when only 1-0 up when a cross would have been the better option. Hopefully onwards and upwards now.

Its not even November, how anyone thinks a player can come into Peps magical kingdom where things tend to be quite different than other clubs and click straight away is beyond me.

I would generally expect any player coming here the best part of a season to even approach "getting it" and therefore able to produce their best stuff for City. Mahrez will be no different and could be quite special next season. In the meantime I expect he will improve even more as the weeks go by.

Bernado being the prime example.

Very much so, lets face it it took all those already here a season collectively when Pep arrived. I suspect it is so different than any other club it really will take a good amount of time to take it all in and most probably for Pep to complete the job of turning a new arrival into the player he Pep wants him to be.

I have high hopes for Mahrez but dont expect much from him yet. Anything good now is a big bonus, and all things considered I think he looks pretty good already.

He could easily have had 3 assists in the first half with some brilliant passes. Without doubt he is one of the most talented footballers around....we have some amazing Mahrez moments to look forward to in the future. Give him another 6 months under Pep and the sky is the limit.
