Fucking 30m they are taking the piss! We struggle to get market value for ANY of our players! 20m absolute most we should pay for RVP not a penny more

30mil for RVP?? they're really are taking the piss, isn't it?
Keep him, and we'll take him out of your hands for free next year!!

By far the best option as even if our forwards all stay this summer someone and I'd guess CT will be off next close season making a space for him if we are still interested.

Why would we need RVP, or any new strikers anyway? and he's certainly not worth £30 mill. Jesus we could have walked the prem last season if it wasn't for a blip near the end.

30m + 200k/week

We're going to get screwed on this transfer, aren't we?
It won't be £30m and it certainly won't be £200,000 per week!! Why do our fans believe the bloody media??? It might be around the £23-25m mark if we want him this summer but it'll be £120,000-£130,000 a week wages but most importantly the chance to win things!!

You really think the hottest strikier in Europe will only cost us £120k a week? Are you madHe si probably on £90k currently at Arsenal. He could get £180-200k at other top clubs, so why would he come here for £120k?

Trophies?? I also wouldn't call him the hottest striker in Europe! He's good but given no financial constraints etc we'd be all over falcao or cavani!

IF he ends up here, he will be on par with Yaya and Tevez. Without a doubt.

We are all over Cavani mate. He'll be the surprise signing this summer imo

Hopefully we are bud!! He's my number one choice! I only want rvp so I can see the arse fans and wenger kick off again!! Bale and cavani would do this summer for me! And if nige goes then try and get m'vila! Job done, title retained and a better run in the champs league!

Don't count out both RVP and Cavani joining just yet as well pal. I agree though, 1 of RVP/Cavani and add to that Bale and Martinez or similar we'll be laughing.

On the basis that one of our strikers will leave I suspect Dzeko on 120K per week therefore to offer RVP 180K per week represents only a 60K per week increase.

RVP 30m + 180K per week over 4 year deal = around 70m for FFPR that means 18m a year.

Dzeko sold for 20m + 120K per week savings over last two and half years of contract. = 33m or 15m per year for FFPR

Total increase for city under FFPR =3m per year.

i love seeing the average bluemooner trying to forecast city's wage strategy.

eg, dzeko on 120k leaves, van persie comes for 180k, therefore we can afford the 60k increase.

lol

another one; 'lets sell dzeko and tevez for combined 40 million, that way we can afford van persie and 25 million and only have to pay 10 mill out of our pockets when signing martinez for 25m'

doesn't work like this, this football club is expanding, so there are many injections of wealth into the club that determine the prices we can pay.

there are also sooooo many other factors to consider, such as the sale of all the other players that will leave, and the players that will join, and all the improved contracts, increase sponsorships, extra revenue streams, generally inflation in the market.... theres no point trying to predict city's financial strategy, its way too complex
