5 strikers - surely one too many - who goes and where?

We had 5 strikers last year, Guidetti, Dzeko, Tevez, Aguero and Balotelli, looks like we are selling Guidetti so maybe RVP is here to replace him. Now that would be interesting especially if Tevez is used more in midfield. Dont forget as well RVP has been at Arsenal since he was fifteen so he is same status as Barry, Lescott, etc

Hart
Richards
Kompany
Lescott
Clichy
Martinez
Yaya
Silva
Aguero,
RVP,
Tevez

If we need a battering ram effect with lots of headers

Same back four

Martinez
Yaya
Nani (please no)
Dzeko
RVP
Balotelli

Honestly? I don't want RVP. I know he's a talent, but I was never a fan. Injury prone as well. We don't really even need him, I would prefer we go after wide players.

Just can't picture him at all in a City shirt.

I speaking to a good few rag fans night and everyone of them was hoping we don't sign Van Persie, shitting it they are.

We had 4 strikers last season, Guidetti doesn't count. And Guidetti is an unused player, and a youngster, why the heck would he need to be replaced by an aging, senior player?

Van Persie would be the 'elder statesman' of our attack -

Balotelli is young and unpredictable

Aguero is in the middle as while still young-ish he has a great attitude which is never a concern but equally isn't really ready to lead others or just isn't that way inclined

Tevez is just not the kind of character to play that role by any stretch of the imagination

Dzeko probably is (and has shown flashes of leadership such as just after he scored against QPR) but isn't regular enough.

Van Persie could be the experienced, calming influence on the forward line.

Dein says they need to ship him out sooner rather than later.

Funny you should mention but to me this is exactly what Tevez bought back for the run in (Well, initially at least, he was pretty so so after the Norwich game). Plenty of times last season we just needed someone a little more experienced up top. RVP would be perfect for this.
