Well lets consider the facts about what RVP could give to our team.
We have shown in the CL that we are desperate for someone with experience and a seasoned goalscorer at this level.
The guy is brave and goes in where some of our other forwards would flinch and maybe that is one of the reasons that he has missed games for the Gunners over the past few seasons.
He creates space and has a brilliant eye for finding others in space.
Anyone who can create 92 goalscoring opportunities for his team mates is for me an extrordinary talent and one that would be well worth the £20M which you are quoting.
I would ignore what you saw in the Euros,as many a good player didn`t show his worth for his country.
Based on the main factor for me,our Manager wants this player and that is more than good enough for me.

well i dont remember RVP tearing teams apart in the champions league last season , but i remember what Cavani did to vinnie and lescott in the CL , him and lavezzi made komapany stretch to the limit and i consider Kompany the best CB in the world joint with T.silva , i think we dont need either but if we're buying a striker then i prefer Cavani .

and Balotelli's going to explode to another level next season , i have a feeling
Bang on.
Cavani whopped us, you are right about balo too.

yeah kompany stoepped all the strikers last season he bullied Rooney , RVP and torres even gomez of bayern but he was lucky to score , with Cavani that wasnt the case , they played with their hearts out there against him and he still did damage , Cavani , Hulk and lavezzi were the players that tired our defense the most last season

and again mario will explode , he will make us proud this year ,

apparently it's being reported in the papers tomorrow

Juventus 7m

MUFC 12.5m

United's gone and blown us out the water.

If that's the case, why was United's offer abruptly rejected?

Wenger might hate us, but I bet he'd rather to sell to us than the Rags. Well, tbf I think he's just Juve or nothing.

I take it you're not too familiar with my posting style.

I'm curious as to why Ferguson would announce they'd made a bid. He may be lots of things but he isn't stupid and he never, ever, does anything without a strategic goal in mind.

The season ticket argument is not without merit but I'm struggling to see why he would invite ridicule upon his club if they failed. Perhaps he realises that RVP wants to come to us and it is merely a tool to drive the price up, or perhaps the opposite is true and he's marking his territory.

Make no mistake this next season will define the future bragging rights for the next decade between our two clubs and he knows it. They win it and they can keep up, we win it and they're fucked for a whole series of reasons.

Interesting times.

He's announced it to let RVP know he wants him I think we aren't that bothered if we get him or not if we were we said here you go boom 25m! Local news are reporting the scum have offered 15m all we should do is match what ever the other clubs have bid and leave it t RVP to make his mind up
Based on?

i hope united would sign him and he gets injured after 3 games , no hard feelings foor the lad he'll still get paid and live his life , but the look on their faces would be priceless

Am I the only one that had taken THD's 2 posts today as Utd are signing RVP? I mean I only read for 3 pages after the YouTube clip but his first post was a full stop! As in the end and his second post the YouTube clip started with the 2 words "scum" and "enemy"!
That to me says he's going to OT. I wasn't that bothered if we bought him or not as loads of people have already said on here he's injury prone and 29 but I didn't want him going to them lot, game on boys we upped it last year and they are responding.

School holidays fun?

Question.

Do we know about any direct quotes from the player himself which of the three clubs he would prefer to play for?

If so, is his statement published and available online?

Finally if the 7m, 10m and 12m bids speculated a page or two back are accurate and rebuffed by Arsenal, unless another 5m is added to the top bid, then he will finish his contract at Arsenal.

If Baconface is true to his word, a player 30 next year is way off the hard and fast rule set in stone that United will not buy players over 27 for financial reasons that clubs hate making big investments in rapidly depreciating assets, pace Berbatov.

Sorry mate. Wasn't in reply to you, it was in reply to the post above with the transfer figures. Find it strange how we supposedly bid less yet uniteds bid was rejected first
