Arsenal played it right this summer, they bought the replacement already and know they can wait until the last day to sell RVP.

But we have to get rid of Tevez or Edin.Davs 19 said:Cheadle Blue said:and the glaringly obvious problem, tevez or dzeko will have to go for RVP to come in
I know. I just said that.
The difference between Nasri and RVP is very simple from business point of view.Davs 19 said:Tevez City said:Arsenal played it right this summer, they bought the replacement already and know they can wait until the last day to sell RVP.
Or not, as the case may be. Others may see them desperate to sell and recoup their cash, given the clubs business model of the last few years.
Worst case scenario, we keep the four strikers we have and have the strongest frontline in the Prem.
Best case scenario, Cavani or Falcao and RVP sign and we get rid of Tevez at last and, sadly, offload Edin. This plus Martinez would make my summer.

nasri was bought for 15 million and was 24 years old.....letting him see out his contract at the age of 24 was never gonna happen.
RVP was bought for 2.75 million and they got 8 years from him. They can afford to see him out his contract if they dont get the right offer and they already bought 2 strikers. Van persie is a fantastic striker, but I really dont get this one man team nonsense as he had a team build around him last season. basically they all played to feed him and despite being top scorer he had by far more chances than any other striker in the league. The guy misses crazy amount of chances
Show me stats on how many chances he had last season. like i said i doubt any player had close to as many chances as he hadstony said:Tony101 said:The difference between Nasri and RVP is very simple from business point of view.Davs 19 said:Or not, as the case may be. That sounds very much like sour grapes, something Arsenal fans are good at. I saw a stat posted on here that Van Persie had created over 90 chances last season. He's not just about scoring.

Oh you really are bitter. He finished top scorer and dragged Arsenal into Europe. If he comes here he will have players like Silva, Nasri and Yaya feeding him and he will score even more. Without him, Arsenal wouldn't have made top 4 #feederclub

My point is the idea that he did everything on his own is wrong and he had plenty of service because all the service was aimed at him. Despite playing with better players here, he wont get as much service because the service will be far more evenly distributed. At Arsenal last season the whole game was to feed him. Dont mix what im saying and call me names
I dont think he will have a better season either. But as someone said earlier....RVP is very good creator and even when he doesnt score, he set up his team mates better than any City striker imo. I think it will be tricky to keep tevez, balotelli, rvp and aguero happy though. You cant rotate every game and people are forgetting tevez was out alot of last season, so this problem didnt happenCheadle Blue said:Tony101 said:I think you guys are misunderstanding me here. im not disputing the idea that he would play with better players here. I know what your saying mate, he pretty much was a one man team, but top players don't go to other clubs and suddenly become background players. i don't think he will ever have another season like that again, or even an injury free one, which is why some on here are wary of getting him. The scary thing is, we missed shit loads of chances last year as well

No chance City will start next season with 5 strikers.Tony101 said:I dont think he will have a better season either.
