Nobody can deny Mancini wants Van Persie after what he was saying towards the end of last season. I think that after buying their best players Mancini might actually feel a bit sorry for Wenger and is therefore showing him respect by not talking about RVP until he is a blue.

I also think him not playing Dzeko is indicating he is going. He's come out and said that he wants him to stay but surely if he came out and said I dont want dzeko, a team would pay less because we obviously want to offload (ie. Adebayor) and if the RVP deal didnt come off he would have an unhappy Dzeko.

Either way we are going to have a strong strike force again, wether Dzeko stays or RVP joins.

This is true. A fully fit Tevez & a (slightly) more grown up Mario= a much stronger strikeforce than last season.

Edin Dzeko tweeted yesterday that he is carrying a small injury and will be back on the pitch next week.

No need to rock the boat.

If all four want to stay and nobody can afford them anyway even if one or more is serious about leaving we are best to start the season with the same 4 strikers that ended last season.

What we need is to tweak central defense a little and bring in some width in midfield that is all.

We don't need RVP and we couldn't keep 5 strikers of that ilk happy , its tough enough with four assuming all are fully fit for the majority of the season which we always hope will be the case.

I know it's been mentioned before, but if RVPs relationship with Arsenal has deteriorated so badly why doesn't RVP buy his contract out?
RVP signed a new contract in June 2009 so he can buy himself out of the remaining year of his contract now for around £4m (80k ish x 52) according to the Webster ruling -
<a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webster_ruling" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webster_ruling</a>

All he has to do is be paid £8m as a signing on fee (allow for £4m in tax and loan fee) and the job is done. This is the reason why the offers are probably so low - £8m to £12m. RVP can force an exit at the lower price.

Because, in almost every case where that has happened the club who signs them ends up being sued and stumping compo + whatever they give the player. It's cheaper to try and sign him than paying £8m + plus a signing fee/agent fee... then to be stumped with the final years contract value as compo on top.

But look how the season ended? You could and should trust Mancini again. Whatever you think, we all know Mancini has been pretty spot on so far, if he wants to offload tevez for RVP then so be it and the same with Dzeko.

To be honest, watching the city vids off the website Tevez does genuinely look happy again, hes got good company in Serg and Pab and looks like he enjoys it there with them.

Tevez is not going to do it again, he only has to play one season then he can pretty much choose what he does next.

Yeah first the Hazard saga now this. It's draining. At least we're not waiting for the player to announce his future via twitter this time.

He has started pre-season very well. If he's dis-interested he's doing a good job of hiding it.

Looks happy again. 6 months ago no one predicted he'd be back playing for City. Who knows what will happen in the future

Slight exaggeration can't believe people have no patience, have faith in our owners and manager.
