The bit I don't get is that most on here are claiming that RvP will be brought in as a replacement for Dzeko.
So RvP is going to be our new 4th. choice striker is he?
If RvP comes (and personally I do think he will end up here) he's coming to replace Tevez and Balotelli as Aguero's partner.
This means Balotelli will likely be our new 4th. choice striker... and that's a good idea?
And even if the sales of Adebayor/RSC/Teve/Dzeko are going to determine whether or not we pursue RvP... what has this to do with our other transfer targets in midfield and at the back? Surely they are separete issues? So why are we holding back on the other potential deals?
Like I said at the start of the transfer window, I think we could go again with what we've got. And if it means consigning Adebayor and RSC to the Carling Cup campaign then so be it.
Arsenal, Chelsea and the rags signings have still not made them better than us.
No cover for Kompany? No cover for Yaya? Passing on the chance to sign a superb striker like RVP? You're right that we could go for it and hope for no injuries to our key men (Kompany, Yaya and Aguero), but I don't see why we should.
No cover for Kompany? Kolo, Savic and Richards spring to mind, with Rekik for the Carling Cup games. Yaya? I do think we need to prioritise a midfielder, but even so we still have de Jong and Milner in reserve. And Razak, Suarez for the Carling Cup.
We are not down to bare bones. Chill.
