Robinho-I Can Be The Best!!!

hes a good player
just not as good as he thinks he is
never rated him at Madrid
think he has a negative effect on the squad
bad attitude, worse punctuality
would rather be a big fish in a small pond than try and establish himself at Real
says alot about him as a player and a person

we will have more success with the policy of buying the best players from other premiership clubs, its worked for United (Given, Bellamy...Santa Cruz and Lescott in the summer)
than trying to get big names will create divisions in the squad

I wouldn't call trying to get a move to the beaten finalists in the Champions League a small pond, would you? alright he ended up with us out of luck more than judgement, and not at Chelsea, but he has gone about the job on the field in the manner of a player who wants to prove a point, not someone just along for the ride. He has not said he is the best player in the world, only that he has ambitions of becoming so,and he feels he can achieve this at City, what do you want, a player who is happy to settle for being average? nothing wrong in my book with a player who wants to be the best, especially if he plays for City. do you think if he was at Chelsea and coming out with the same statement their fans would complain? I doubt it,and that goes for any club in the Premier league.
and who says he has a bad attitude? have you seen this yourself at the club, or is it just a case of you read it in the sun so it must be true!
I will agree with you on 1 thing though, short term I would try and bring in some proven premier League players to blend with any good foreign players we bring in

i think we need some more big name players at the club to really see the best in robbie, at the moment we are all relying on him to do the buisness other clubs also c him as our stand out player so he is getting marked out the game at games like pompey an stoke away. i think a couple off big name players could take the pressure off robbie on the pitch and in the dressing room and we could really see the best out of him next season.

not a chance of becoming the best player in the world
Messi was a better player than him at 17, Ronaldo is far more complete, Aguero has more talent and desire(and is years younger) Guiseppe Rossi, Andres Iniesta, Franck Ribery, Kaka, Del Piero, Zlatan and Samuel E'too to name just 10 of the top of my head, and thats just attacking players

Bellamy is more important to the club, and id rather have Santa Cruz partnering him than the skinny sex pest
he missed a 1-on-1 against Copenhagen which would have made it 3-1 and won the tie; against Middlesbrough he miised another which luckily went unpunished due to Afonso Alves trying to murder Shay Given with the ball and some good defending.
think back to Liverpool at home; 2 up, he had the chance to kill the game, but ballooned it over the bar from 4 yards

his goal tally is misleading; 3 against Stoke, who's defending that day was utterly shocking and two of which where put on a plate by Daniel Sturridge, and 2 against Hull, who were also awful at the back and were already beaten by Stevie Ireland's genuis
then you have a very fortunate deflected freekick against Chelsea, the 4th goal against a demoralised Pompey, a disputable pen against Newcastle

Robinho, as Capello and Schuster discovered, and Hughes is discovering, is not a match winner; hes simply a dancer who only comes out to play once the game has already been won by his more effective but less hyped team-mates.

What total bullshit, so goals only count if they are important? Bellamy more important to the club BULLSHIT, sooner have RSC upfront YOU MUST BE OUT OF YOUR MIND! As for the first part, it assumes people delevop at the same pace, which as anyone that has even a passing understanding of sport or indeed learning in general will tell you is plain wrong. If that where so, the best clubs would pick up the best 17 year olds, and they would all move up through the ranks to be the best players in the game, some players develop late(Ian Wright, for example). In 10 months here on the board I have to say you win the prize for stupidest post ever.

The only thing i would agree with il padrino on is that he will never be the best player in the world.I don't think he is or ever will be close to being as good as Messi, ronaldo or Kaka. With regards to him not being as good as Rossi though,er I think Robbie might have just managed to get a regular place in a shit Newcastle side a couple of years ago!

Your argument is extremely flawed, to be blunt you come across as thick as fucking pig shit to put it mildly.

Robinho's goals don't count as they arent important enough? Robinho is happy at City and therefore has no ambition? You have to be a rag? Surely?

Please tell me there arent other blues out there who have been so mind fucked by the rags and tabloids that they too believe this shit? Theres no hope.

Admits hes lost form but seems like he wants to play for us, Guys a fukin ledge!!!!

He's sending out the right messages, but imo he thinks he's better than he actually is, by saying he's gonna be the world best he is once again gewtting everyones hopes up he will be a top performer. maybe he will maybe he won't i'm not sure but if he want's to be the best in the world he better hurry up!!!!

He's without doubt ONE of the best. City fans don't appear fit to judge world talent from what I've seen as what they demand in a player simply does not exist. Take Ronaldo and Ibrahamivic last night, neither performance was up there for us blues, we'd have been on both their backs by the 60minute mark. Yet I personally don't doubt the quality of either of the players.

At City we seem to want a player that doesnt exist, this mythical total footballer who is an all rounder, can play any position, will score 40 plus a season but also put in a shift in defence and midfield all the while he'd never stop running and sweating. HE DOESNT EXIST.
