Robinho talks about leaving to the rest of the team

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-316910/Hughes-says-Blackburn-just-speculation.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... ation.html</a>

Copy of an interview given by Hughes a week before he accepted the Blackburn job?!?!

Now either he was lying or it was just an incredible coincidence?

You decide and before anyone says this is another Hughes out post, it isnt, im just highlighting that talk is cheap and normally bollox in football thats all.

There are thousands of examples just like this!

Robbie's got 4 years to go on his City contract and we don't need the money, so he either playswell for city. scores amd makes lots of goals, or he warms the bench or plays in the reserves for the next 4 years - his choice.

Hughes is a disciplinarian and won't put up with sh&t from prima donnas.

If you honestly think that Hughes will teach him a lesson and sit him on the bench for years your mistaken mate.

Robinho wants away and Hughes wants rid, all you are hearing now is the opening gambits in the game of chess and politics that is professional football.

If he wants to go,let him go.

But we should let the bidding start at £45 million.Gone are the days when some jumped up little shit takes the piss cos he doesn't fancy it any more.

The current Brazil team is like a "boys club" where the top players seem to be allowed to do what the fuck they like. It's like their club football is a little "inconvenience" to them.

They're also the world champions, which is the ultimate dilemma....

Italy or have I missed something?

If we sell Robinho, I will instantly go from being unconvinced about our current manager but willing to give him a chance, to being totally convinced that we have the wrong man in charge.

Hang on mate, Hughes is the be all and end all of all that happens at our club, he has told us that, Cook has told us that and the chairman has told us that. The Hughes innies have also assured us that he is the boss and nothing happens without his say so.

Now if Robinho goes your telling us it wont be Hughes fault or decision?

Cake and eat it springs to mind!

so if what your saying is true players dont have a say in this or have i been lead down the wrong path thinking players have a very big say these days in what they want to do and as for your comment about cake and eat it?

im very much undecided on hughes atm but willing to give him the chance were as you seem to jump on his back at any given opportunity.

im sure you are clever than your comment to think hughes is the be all and end all in this situation with robbie.

I believe that Hughes and Robinho both want to part ways and all this is just the start of the inevitable parting of the ways. Too many on here though just want to hang Robinho out to dry and whilst i wont excuse his unprofessionalism at times, to lay the blame at just one door in all this is in my opinion, to simplistic and most probably wrong. I have also stated that in my opinion, Robinho is not a player that Mark Hughes really wants in his team, his lack of a work ethic lets him down and because of this a parting of the ways is always going to happen, whilst Mark is in charge. Would it be different had another manager been handling Robbie? Who knows, maybe, maybe not but its immeterial now as Hughes will have all this season to prove himself and Robbie will be off this season with Hughes hoping to snag Yaya in return. I would possibly expect both deals to be loans which makes Jan a real possibility.

Robinho is the only player we have who would walk into a top four team's starting line up. Would Mourinho have allowed the situation to develop where this player wanted away? Would he have fallen out with Robbie's best mate, and flogged him at the earliest possible opportunity? There are major question marks about Hughes's ability to motivate and choose tactics that suit this type of player. We should be building our team around the likes of Ireland and Robinho. Not shoe horning them into a system that doesn't suit them, then complaining that they 'don't track back'. Truth appears to be that he genuinely doesn't like this type of player, and if this is the case, then we definitely have the wrong man in charge.
