Protesting, It winds the owners up, can't you see that, ticket sales down, those supporters would have filled the ground for Carling cup games.

The fact is, when your 'supporters' had to stand up and be counted, you fucked off.

All the shit about 'United, kids, wife' and how loyal you are is a load of shit...judas, turncoat bunch of twats.

You'd never get that at City...we'll stand by our club through thick and thin unlike these wankers.
OK, unless you once owned a part of you're club, and then you was made to give up you're share of a thing you hold sacred then judge, I lost thousands, I gave my shares to MUST(hoping one day I'll be a shareholder again), I still love my club, BTW born and bred Manc.(M15).

I must step in.

Simple question; when we were in the old Third Division, skint, going nowhere, cast adrift after years of mis-management at every level of the club...do you think we would have been lauded to the high heavens if we started our own club because we didn't like what was going on? Serious question by the way.

I was at York on that sorry day. Probably the lowest day supporting City so far. I'm still here supporting City, not some made up club.

The irony is. Weren't United the first football club to be floated on the stock exchange? If they weren't they eventually went down that road. Didn't see these FCUM fans forming a club then. What were they doing when Fergie tried to take on the two Irish horse trainers, which eventually lead them to selling their stake in United to the Glazers.(I stand corrected) In no part due to Fergie's self belief that he could take on those two Irish billionaires and win. That's it, blame the Glazers, but turn a blind eye to Edwards and Fergie.

Many clubs have been floated on the stock market over the last 100 or so years.

-- Sat Nov 06, 2010 1:49 am --

You were the one, unprompted, that said you lost 'thousands'.

You started it.
It was one of the reasons I want the yanks out, soul-less no connection to the game, these people only see profit from the dedication of the fans.

be warned.

It's a means to an end. That is where the cycle started and it has now ended, according to you lot. In hindsight it ended when Edwards floated your club. It became a PLC and was up for grabs to the highest bidder. The rest is history.

Tell us about Fergie and why he gambled Manchester United for the sake of a victory over the two Irish horse trainers. Isn't it amazing that no United fan, ex-player or celeb ever mentions that as one of the defining moments of United's demise off the pitch.

Feel free.

Ferguson and the Coolmore Group were best mates.

A Gentleman's Agreement is shook on regarding Rock of Gibraltor's share of winnings.

Coolmore decide to put the horse out to stud.

Ferguson (laughably) takes them to court.

He loses.

They think about selling the club.

Some halfwits from the Manchester Education Committee 'hijack' a race meeting and really fuck the Irish off.

The club is sold to the Glazers.

Make of that as you will.

But that has been erased form the history books. Ask any Rag or FCUM fan and it never happened and it wasn't the cause of the Glazer's eventually buying United. It just didn't happen. Honest!

Fergie lost the case and the horse. United fans lost the club.

Apart from being true, that would make a brilliant banner.
