roll on the summer...

It's almost as if the excitement of signing players is an acceptable substitute for our club playing well.
That is a very good point.

I'd honestly rather sell half the team and make do with kids - as long as we played couIrageously next year.

But that isn't anywhere near a good point. We are better than that. The days when just graft was lauded more than skill or technical ability are behind us and thank fuck for that. There's no reason why we can't expect both.

Whatever money a club does or doesn't spend, they've got to prove they're up to that level, individually and collectively.

agreed.

Being a cheap squad that overachieves by staying in the league, is more glorious than being the most expensive and bumbling along into 3rd.
That is utter bollocks. Give me third rather than a team of Brave Scotty Parker's getting their shorts dirty and hammered 3-0 every fucking week.

Lol now that was funny.

we have been poor all season but to be fair to our manager and staff platini's tactics have worked to a tee. we couldn't stregnthen whilst our rivals inc uefa's little red darlings could. it is as clear as day that platini wanted to peg us back. that said our results v the burnley's of the league have been our own doing. we may have got away with it had platini not handed out players like fabregas, matic and di maria to our rivals like confetti. they were all signed unopposed. lets see what the new season brings on a more level playing field. we will ship out the players that have done fuck all this year, they knew their place was never going to be at risk due to the restrictions. this time anyone not doing it can be shipped and replaced in january. what we have liked all season is motivation, pellers hasn't helped but the players as proffessionals should be better than that.whatever their beef with the manager, his tactics or the club overall.

Held us back in Europe but like you say, Stoke, Burnley x 2 and Hull should have all been beaten FFP or not. That is 10 points pissed away.

Not to mention home cup defeats to Newcastle reserves and Boro!

Those results are purely down to the players and manager.

agreed. the cup games were entirely down to pellers though. he must have said fuck this cup off, we were terrible.

I don't know what the problem has been with some of our players this year, very disappointing. Oh for an Andy Morrison, Gerry Gow or a Mike Doyle to put some fight into the team.

With the greatest owner ever in world sport we will never have a better opportunity to dominate as we do now. He will not accept the occasional trophy and neither should we. We will never have this opportunity again to win trophies year after year. There needs to be an enormous turnaround next year.

Domestic cup competitions have seen countless instances of top premier league sides going out to lower division teams because they are not priority.

Disappointing to lose any time but given we have recently won the FA cup with Bob and Carling Cup with Pellegrini, its a step too far to proclaim we have any one at the club saying lets fuck this off as you put it.

well something has changed in our attitude. what happened to 5 trophies in 5 years? does someone think it will be 2 CL and 2 titles and a league cup? thought it was all about raising our profile. winning raises profiles, wembley raises profiles. rotating and going out early damages that profile far easier than raising it. not to mention we all pay our money and turn up at the ground to see that shite. big changes are needed next year. we city fans dont give a fuck, we have proved that over decades but now that we are here, with a squad to die for, it would be criminal to let it all slip away, even standing still now is failure.

Its an attitude that has affected all of the Premier league, its clubs, its managers and its players over the last few years, especially those going for the tile and in the CL.

I don't condone it and i don't like it but I understand its there and it isn't going anywhere any time soon due to the pressure to do well in the so called prestige competitions. Chelsea being the perfect example of it against Bradford as their minds were elsewhere.

That said we will win our fair share over the coming seasons as well you know ;-)
