I'm not here to score Brownie points just to help lads who might be thinking about doing Rome on a limited budget. Unsworth Blue got it right when he questioned what your interest is. Like I say, touched a raw nerve , and don't give me that cop-out shite about starting a new post, life's too short. I'm not a daily regular on Bluemoon forum, but it looks like you spend your life on it. I think we've exhausted this one but feel free to get your cyber mates mithering me.

The lads I'm going with have nailed £95 return flights from London ( + travel costs to Gatwick) and rooms for 2 nights working out about £40 each in total for accommodation . This not me being a clever arse, cheap-ish flights are still available from London, at good times. Other City fans have sorted out better prices etc.
We all know that £275 is taking the piss. I'm not aware that your airplane man is doing a stay over ( I could be wrong) but this sounds like a trip for the lightweights .

You're the one making a dick of yourself. Do you charter planes for a living? The plane that Spike has chartered has to make 4 trips; inbound from wherever it is to Manchester, the return trip from Manchester to Rome then back to wherever it needs to be. That's four lots of fuel and four lots of crew wages, plus all the other costs. You're travelling on a scheduled flight which you can pick and choose plus they aren't too bothered if it's full or not. Also Spike's flight's from Manchester, saves having to shlep to London or wherever and gets people back for the following morning. As I said I'm not on to score brownie points and I have said if people want to pay £275 day return, fair enough. I'm simply saying its a lot of money for a flight to Rome, whatever the logistics of chartering planes are and there are cheaper options out there if fans want to spend some time in Rome. But thanks for explaining everything , I'll sleep tonight.
