It is the ultimate chick flick Although I never got the appeal. I still consider Ghost as the best. Still a classic in my eyes and probably the only chick flick I'll ever admit to getting my eyes moist at the end of the movie.
Never heard of safe haven though. Might check it out

Have you seen About Time (2013)? Weirdly I suggested to the wife we watch it, having read it was about time travel. Had me more than a little uncomfortable. The missus loved it.
