Yeah but Silva X 2, kdb and gundo can play multiple positions across the whole midfield making it is to rotate.

We only play with one CDM and non of lavia, rodri or Phillips can do any other role within a midfield

How often do we play two, three, four defensive midfielders? The point is moot, as yesterday we played a formation that could arguably fit four deep lying / attacking creatives.

We wouldn't play Rodri, Phillips and Lavia in one XI, whereas we would with Bernardo, KDB and Gundogan.

True but it would be a couple of years away and nobody stays around for ever. Formations change as well.
I'm only saying if the lad is good for one of our rivals then we would seriously consider the option.
