Rooney Charged 2 game Ban

At the risk of making myself a hostage to fortune I fail to see how he can secure a reduction.

The FA have a standard punishment for bringing the game into disrepute. By reducing it what will they actually be saying?

That if he'd said '****' as well it would be three games?
If he'd said 'fuck' only once that it would be no games?

Clearly not. By reducing this they would be creating far more problems for themselves in the future, which sticking with the standard punishment would avoid.

On what grounds will the FArce reduce the punishment ??

There arent any !!.
You forgot about rule 3.48, which states: 'where Man United are involved we will establish a punishment where necessary, but will reduce that punishment should they appeal, especially if they are due to play Man City in a semi final because we at the FA all want to see Man City fail'.

How could you forget that rule Sam? Have you not read the rule book?!

;-)

The FA could give him a 1 game ban but could just say it'll be enforced after the Fulham game! Now doing this would be hilarious!

If the FA have anything about them they will up it to 3 games to show the arrogant pricks they mean buisness.

Honestly they wonder why the football world hates the fookers

No decision due till tomorrow according to talksport.

the hearing is today therefore the decision has to be today. sounds like more poor reporting from talkshite.
It said something about respecting the fact Rooney is playing tonight, therefore no announcement will be made until tomorrow... Have to wait and see, I hope it is today though.

If they leave the decision tomorrow then he can play against fulham as they get 3 days notice of retrospective bans.

Decision is today, announcement tomorrow. Can only imagine its so Chelsea don't goad him tonight.
The notice for the ban comes from the announcement surely? If the FA annouce a 1 game Ban on Thursday he wouldn't be suspended until Sunday.
