Why is that if you do not conform on here people slag you off! Do you see any of the Top 4 looking to high jack this move? NO!!! Why??? We are about to sign a player who ranks with Bellamy for fitness!!! Do you view that as a posotive signing? I am City till I die , but in my humble opinion Mark Hughes is not the Man to lead us onwards and signing stikers who are never fit is not the asparation of a club looking to get a top 6 finish!

How can Hughes claim to be building for the future when he is so intent on signing players who already have their best years behind them?

All he's doing is recreating Blackburn Rovers. He's limited, just like RSC.

Difference is, if we were all sat together in a pub having the same discussion nobody would call anyone to their face unless it was constructive.

Anyway i've had the night to sleep on it and i can now state that RSC is gonna be the signing of the summer ;) lol.

First quote here so dont lynch me! but IMO i think RSC would of been a great signing 1/2 years ago but we are ment to be going for the top 4! cant see this happening with bellendamy and RSC (although i do pray we do lol) dont get me wrong he is still a good stiker but i think we looking in the wrong direction

First time, I've posted on this thread and too be honest I bet it's full of idiots saying what a complete twat hughes is etc.etc. I think it's a great signing, look at him in his first season, he was awesome every chance he got he scored. Have we got a natural goalscorer? No, well now we have. He might have been so injured last year because he didn't go through Hughes' gruelling training pre-season. I reckon he'll get him back in shape an he'll be quality.

I'm surprised that anyone thinks Hughes is "building for the future".

In my humble opinion, nothing could be further from the truth!

In reality, Hughes has to achieve next season, top 6 MINIMUM, probably top 4, so he's going to have to fill his squad out with Premiership experience and battle hardened players (ala Barry and RSC, Tevez?).

He can't take risks, he can't buy bargains, he can't take a flyer on some exotic star... he NEEDS a flying start and challenging from day one.

Hughes knows this is his last throw off the dice and I think we can expect more of the same this transfer window.

Toure... Lescott... Bentley... if he could get Warnock, Samba, Pederson and Tugay in he's be like a pig in shit!

i question the signing on 2 levels

1. His fitness.....this is an obvious worry for everyone.....Now if some of the reports are to be believed, we will not be paying the full amount upfront, but based on appearances.......that to me makes sense......

2. They type of forward he is.........we have over the years constantly gone for forwards who match certain crtieria....good in the air, hold the ball up, bring others into play...(eg. bianchi, samaras, sibieski, macken, Jo, caceido etc etc).....now im not saying these are at the same level as RSC or that they all were reallly good at these supposed attributes...just that they were supposed to have them...whether they did or not is another arguement!).....but its fair to say RSC does have these attributes....and they are positives.......HOWEVER....

in my opinion, if we are to realy push on as a team, we need a striker with different attributes (plus the ones that RSC has)....we need the all around striker that the likes of Torres, drogba, eto'o are.....yes these players are hard to find but we must be going for this style of player.......doesnt matter whether they are a superstar or not...its just the style of forward that is important

IF we sell benjani, Jo evans and caceido then RSC is a good addition...he takes their place in the squad as he can do everything those players can (and hopefully better!)

However if we are to push on more, we need to add that other style of striker, one who puts an opposing team immediately on the back foot, who plays on the shoulder of the last defender, who is strong and pacey, who can beat people with skill (like toress, anelkam drogba eto'o, ronaldo)........

tevez isnt that player......great player and a fantastic addition to the squad......but not that player and neither is RSC

RSC goal scoring ratio isnt that hot beofre that one season at blackburn....i hope we havent been sold a one season wonder

will i support him....absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!
