The thing with Barkley is that during any given game he will do something spectacular, but then that's soon followed by a lot of average play. He loses the ball an awful lot whether it be through misplaced passes or dribbling directly into trouble.
For the rumored price-tag of Barkley we could get someone far more promising. Yes he's English but that shouldn't be the defining point on the decision to sign a player, it should be his all round ability and what he can bring to the team, unfortunately in my opinion Barkley doesn't reach the standard.
