RSC is signing today - 9th June - He didn't.

Re: RSC is signing today

It all about having different options if one isn't working

RSC gives the squad something that we've not got at the moment

Re: RSC is signing today

Lots of people on here saying that he'd be OK if he stays fit. So no different to anyone else then really.

Its a defanant risk i think to sign him if he is going to be one of our main forwords, but i can't see him being the only targitman that we might get summer? imo

Good news or Bad news? You decide! SSN reporting interest in RSC from us

I'm shocked at that interest. Came totally out of the blue hasn't it? :p

Re: RSC is signing today

to be fair, anyone could get injured... we could avoid signing anyone who has ever had a major injury, and then they could break their leg on their debut, or do something along the lines of Boj, and i notice nobody is saying we should sell him now he has an injury record?

On the same note, a player who has had injuries, may never get injured again, its a gamble, but if it was highly likely he would end up with another serious injury, it would show up in the medical, some of the things they can spot these days are unbelievable, they can spot it in young lads from the age of about 12 if they are going to have issues.

So you wouldn't agree that there's loads of blues who are fixated by the star names being thrown around on these boards?
Look at the rection to the Ajay threads about the imminent arrival of such and such a player and the place goes beserk.
I personally think a lot of it is to do with a younger demographic on this board, easily excited by tabloid rumour and blatant wind ups.

No, I wouldn't agree. Sure theres interest in the bigger names, but thats natural.

What I strongly disagree with is this thing that gets trotted out that if someone doesn't want a particular player it's must be because they only want star names. I've seen very little of that in relation to RSC, I've seen people questioning his consistency and his quality and his fitness. And while I'm not strongly opposed to his signing they are my concerns as well.

The fact that he isn't a big name player is irrelevant and I'd bet thats the case for the majority of people that don't want him to sign.

Fair enough Moomba, I questioned his fitness myself but I stand by my opinion that there'll be a lot of deflated Blues out there unless we manage to sign a couple of galactico-esque signings and you can guage the giddyness from this board.

Thats the key, IF and its a big IF he is brought in as a squad player then it might not be a bad move, the injury issues shouldn't be key if he is not playing week in week out.
