Just about funny when first seen, and just about acceptable at an away ground for the 1st league game, given the anti city media we've had to put up with.

'Tis clearly intended to be a bit of fun, but too many folk outside MCFC believe it to be true and will point to the banner as an admission that some of the fans might think so too. It's just another pointer to the pitiful world some areas of footy has become.

Agree - add to that it's just about the most embarrasing chant in football. Personally, I can't see the problem with the 'killing football' banner, although a lot of people don't have the basic intelligence to understand irony. Over sensitive and petty if true - the club should take a look at other clubs. Don't see Utd having the 'clock' banner taken down for example, despite the fact it's inflamatory. Amongst all of the fabulous things that the club are doing at the moment, they have to be careful that they don't alienate their core support.
