As discussed above, www.sportsshoes.com is worth keeping your eye on. I've also had a good experience with www.keller-sports.co.uk which is based on the continent meaning often good prices but a bit of a wait for delivery. Other than that, a good old on search on Google Shopping with the filter set to 'low-high'.

Heading to the Lakes on Monday for a few days to recover after the derby. Going to head to the Inov8 store in the with a view to picking up a pair of hybrid trail/road shoes. Thinking of the Parkclaw. Anyone had any experience of those shoes are Inov8 in general?.

Got a 40 mile trail race coming up so looking for something for mixed terrains which is reasonably light.

Funnily enough Ive been doing a bit of research into the inov8's, Ive been eyeing up the terraultras or the trailflys not got round to tossing the coin for which ones yet though

40 mile trail race?! Good luck with that. Is it over a few days or something? It sounds mental!

Actually, my running club organises the Warrington Way 40 miler once a year. A lot of people enter it. Not for me though. What's the training regime like? Are your long runs over 30 miles? Do you take breaks during the run? How on earth do you fuel up for it? Does the winner run a lap of honour?

Yeah, I wear Inov8 for trail runs in the Lakes. They've served me well. Just got in the house from spending the afternoon in Keswick actually, and am thinking about doing some fell runs in the coming weeks.
