Running thread

It’s more the event that appealed. I get what your saying, it’s like the Manchester run you doing really get running for a few miles in that.

I would love to do a marathon but need proper focus and training to accomplish that.
Mara's are where it's at, get signed up for one next April, plenty of time to get in the groove for it

Would you not sign up for another half if you don't get through the ballot?
The great north run is bottom of my list tbh, a 2hr finish time would have seen you finish in 15thousandth place, 60k in it and the vast majority walked it

Same here with the great north run, no interest at all from me. Must be a nightmare getting in and out, corralled like cattle at the start. Those sort of runs leave me a bit cold nowadays.

Trails for me mainly now. Got a 18 miler tomorrow over the New Forest, 140 competitors only.

Even the toilets should be usable.

Attempting 9 days in a row of 10ks for a charity challenge my work are doing. I’m 2 down, I have an official 10k tonight at Hyde Park so far so good, tomorrow trickier as I’m off to Norway for a couple days. Will fit them in.

*just found out it's actually 12 days. gulp.

Right, I recently saw a picture that broke down the best footwear for each brand (adidas, ASICS, Hoka, Nike etc.) by distance (5/10k, HM, Marathon, Daily Runner) displaying their various models & now I can't find it for the life of me... Could anyone help me out please?

This morning's Isabel Trail Parkrun completed in 29:03.
Bit of a busy one today as it's Stafford 10k tomorrow.
I intend doing a 5k to 10k training programme at some point but will wait until the weather cools down a bit. Also wouldn't have been able to do both the 10k and attend the Arsenal gane tomorrow.
