I didn't take any tech with me for the first few years. Plotted it out on google and went out. It's liberating and takes your mind off any distractions. If you're listening to music, then yeah get some running headphones, download Strava and get out there :)I've not done any running in a while but decided to dust off the trainers. Can anybody recommend any Apps or gadgetry that would help to track and record distance. Cheers and happy New Year.
About a year ago, I decided I wouldn't mind tracking pace, gps and heart rate as I wanted to measure improvement/pace etc. Still not arsed about music so went with this for battery life and covers what I need.

You can invest in fancier watches, contactless payments, even ones that play music. I bought my wife the Polar M430 a few years back through my healthcare scheme (40% off) and she loves it but wouldn't go above £100 personally.
