Ha, great effort mate, I’d hate to think how slow I must do them!Just done hill sprints in Heaton park, just the smaller hill up to the old temple @Rammy Blue , managed 8 attempts and had a top speed of 21.7 mph!! Feel that in the hamstring now!! 18 seconds for the fastest segment according to Strava, someone did it in 10 seconds.... that’s insane but it’s a target to aim for I guess.
Yuk. Can’t say these hill sprints are getting any easier, lol. Driving rain and gale force winds, lovely.Ha, great effort mate, I’d hate to think how slow I must do them!
It‘s a killer of a hill though as it sneakily gets steeper about 2/3rds of the way up it and makes the last 20 metres murder.
edit..it’s my hill sprints day tomorrow, I’ll let you know how I get on.
No about time mate, just about getting out there and doing something.Just done 3.5k. 37 minutes.
Worsley Park run. (Well most of it)
Only a few days after my jab and I am so shit at running so please don’t laugh at my time!!
Didn’t do the main hill yesterday as was far too busy for my liking, will do that again when it quietens down about. As an aside is 5k if you go from the bench on the left near the bottom to the top and back 10 times....Yuk. Can’t say these hill sprints are getting any easier, lol. Did 6 on main hill and then managed 6 up to the monument, I reckon about 18 seconds was my time too.
Your not shit mate, the only person who you comparing your times with is yourself, and you did loads better than you would sat on the couch eating crisp. Keep it goingJust done 3.5k. 37 minutes.

We use the bins on the main hill as our markers, lol - the highest bin nearest top is the one we use mainly which gives about a 50 metre sprint and there’s a bin about 20 metres further down for obviously a 70 metre run, but I hit jelly leg burn out too quick when I do the longer ones.Didn’t do the main hill yesterday as was far too busy for my liking, will do that again when it quietens down about. I’ve been going from near the bottom!! Haha no wonder I get fucked lol.We use the bins on the main hill as our markers, lol - the highest bin nearest top is the one we use mainly which gives about a 50 metre sprint and there’s a bin about 20 metres further down for obviously a 70 metre run, but I hit jelly leg burn out too quick when I do the longer ones.
I might be wrong but I’ve always thought the idea was to sprint as fast as can and if I did them from further down I’d burn out too quick, or I’d have to “stretch legs” but not sprint.I’ve been going from near the bottom!! Haha no wonder I get fucked lol.
Yes you’re right they’re supposed to be short distances, I just wanted to see how many I could do. You’re a damn sight bigger than I am lol.I might be wrong but I’ve always thought the idea was to sprint as fast as can and if I did them from further down I’d burn out too quick, or I’d have to “stretch legs” but not sprint.
6 and 6 was definitely enough, didnt even want to do the last but fought the negativity to make myself do it.
I‘m 6’4” and over 15 stone so it takes a fair chunk of effort to get up them!
