I'd question his motives... did he do that (offend morons) because it was what he believed in or did he do it for laughs and reputation.

Going off that interview, i'd say the latter, but i've not much evidence to support that.

But i've no problem disagreeing... i can't see at what point he'll ever change my mind though. He's already gone pretty quiet since he got with Katy Perry, i guess you don't need to work too hard when you're dating one of the bigger pop stars of the moment.

I took it that he liked offending people who were waiting to be offended, the Daily Mail lot, you know the type from this place, but I think that's entirely valid to be honest.

He's a good stand up comedian and a decent radio/TV presenter. I'm not bigging him up to be anything special but I do think he is good at what he does.

Also, he is intelligent, he's very well read and his political beliefs and general opinions are all sound and valid.

He gets 2 thumbs up from me and to be honest I despise 90% of people I encounter so he's doing something right from where I am.

Russel Howard does the same kind of stand up as brand - the 'offend' the Daily Mail readers etc. He got his own TV show out of that comedy; he's not a good comedian and he was more succesful than brand in that respect, i think?

If he really was intelligent he wouldn't have been bouncing from job to job before being famous... he said he was a postman; if he was so well read and intelligent surely he'd have been 'clever' enough to get himself into a more lucrative, stable path than what he was on?

If you despise 90% of the people you meet (i'm sure you don't) then that's worrying... the majority of people around are good people (in my experience) you'll get a few major knobheads, a lot of fuckwittery, but most people are harmless.

Without me being a bellend, I'm pretty intelligent myself and extremely well read but I'm hardly blazing a trail in the career stakes at the moment.

To compare him to Russell Howard is offensive!

The episode of ReBrand where he ripped the piss out of the young BNP lads at a meeting was brilliant viewing.

Have you watched the Paxman interview where he talks about this. He apologised straight away and lost his job because of it, there's not much more he can do. Andrew Sach has forgiven him, surely you can?
