Ukraine has been asking for weapons that have a range of 100-140km.
The US have confirmed they are sending the HIMARS.
HIMARS can fire to a range of 300km with certain munitions,the munitions the US are sending have a range of 80km.......what's the point in that?

Agreed its a bit odd to not send the good stuff, but when you look at it in number terms. Its about the same distance the Russian MLRS's have ( apparently a lot more accurate than Russia's too), the Thermobaric launcher is about 10km and Its far further than any of the artillery on the battle field.

So while its not the good stuff, it will, assuming enough units are sent, be a significant boost and if they can knock out a few dozen of the Thermobaric launchesrs then thats excellent.

The Scots were at home! this was a Ukrainian incursion. They are now resupplying their troops for an all out attack on Wales. If they win that they have done better than any English king has ever done.

News is not good in the east for ukranians if i understand the rushed segment on sky yesterday

News on Twitter from the Kherson front would indicate that Russian forces have been totally routed at 4 or 5 places along the front and that some Ukrainian forces are on the outskirsts of Kherson with a complete Russian BTG destroyed by Ukrainian action (artillary?). Bridges are being blown to prevent Ukranian advances deep behind Kherson just to the north. Reports that many Russian BTGs are retreating into Crimea from Kherson rather than be surrounded.
Now it is Twitter but this could be amazing news if only half true.

No Russian Reserves on the Kherson front. All pulled away and committed to Lluhansk. This could be a disaster of Kyiev proportions for the Russian Army.
