Ukrainian forces have surrounded the city of Lyman in the occupied Donetsk region, it has been reported.

Russian and Western analysts had said encirclement of the key city was imminent, and Bellingcat's Christo Grozev is now reporting that it has taken place and is being acknowledged in Russian war channels.

He said the loss of the city would be a "major embarrassment" for Vladimir Putin.

My one and only comment on Brexit in this thread
It is a widely held belief in Europe that Angela Merkel is equally responsible for Brexit as she wouldn't concede on a couple of EU reforms
If she'd allowed Cameron a small win then there would have been no Brexit

Cameron didn't need a 'small win' as the UK was not in the Schengen Zone and only ever subscribed to Freedom of movement of Labour. This contains the right to
1) request anybody whose unemployed for a period of three months or more and unable to display a reasonable prospect of employment could be asked to return home.
2)Anyone without a job offer in writing could be denied entry.

Unfortunately the UK was unable to implement those requirements.
