Russian invasion of Ukraine

Whats your call on the way the mid terms may go? If they do take congress, is it likely they would vote down any further military aid packages to Ukraine? Can they reverse existing commitments made?

Don't follow U.S politics closely enough but in my head it was a case of getting this done before trump could have another shot at the presidency in 2024, if he wins then I think its all over for Ukraine if they haven't retaken their territory and secured their borders and cities with NATO defence systems.
that's the last hope for **** in kremlin

A Russian missile fired from Belgorod decided to the usual and do its own thing and went straight into an apartment block in Belgorod.
Russia now saying it was a Ukrainian missile.

Slava Ukraini.

Russia is doing everything it can to ensure a gop victory. I’d say it’s 50:50.

Did you just pick those numbers out of thin air? The US govt paid for Ukraine to get Starlink, not Musk.

It was a joint venture between SpaceX and US government rather than one or the other, certainly not the figures quoted earlier either. In any case the request that has been declined by Musk is to activate Starlink coverage in Crimea. So they are not switching off in Ukraine although there are reports of issues on frontline coupled with his recent comments adds to confusion over Musks intentions.

Musk should stay out of these politics. He likes the sound of his own tweets too much.

I bet there have been many failures with weapon systems taken out of long-term storage. I can't see their corrupt military and industry partners having a rigorous maintenance regime for these weapons when there's money to be skimmed from budgets. Essential components, such as electrolytic capacitors, need power to be applied every couple of years to stop them from deteriorating.
