This was only to defend the embassy and staff. At the start of the war and when the embassy was reopened in April. They have not been used offensively on the front lines. No idea what's going on,maybe a blag to pull Ukrainian forces North from the South.
Early this morning Lukashenko called a surprise "combat ready" exercise drill.
Now Belarusian troops are just outside Lukovo,about 5km North of the Ukrainian border.
Also a large convoy of Belarusian military vehicles heading to Brest,also closer to the border.
Add to that,the Russians have been sending tanks as well.
Any ideas?

The northern borders are fully protected by battle hardened National Guard troops on rotation and soilders returning from training abroad. Only a large deployment of Russian soilders would be a worry- these haven't been made.
