If i was a betting man (which I'm not), a modern battle of Canae is starting to shape up here.

Agreed, and for the greater good etc, but there will probably have been innocent restaurant workers killed and injured, so not something to rejoice. Not saying it was wrong btw, but bittersweet, most likely.
