He's making his statement as part of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the breaking of the siege of Leningrad.

Expect lots of frothing at the mouth about NATO and a reminder to the russian people that they are valiantly fighting nazis' and the LGBT movement who are hell bent on leaving a rainbow flag with a swastika flying over the kremlin.

The old-style Republicans will side with the non-left wing (anti-war) Democrats giving a 70% majority in the House. That can defeat MAGA, the Speaker or any filibustering attempt.

Not forgetting the line about defending mother ruSSia from a long planned invasion by NATO who is actually at fault for starting this war.
