Oh, no problem for Putin to declare! The reason to bomb Ukraine since 14 months was and is:- A peace agreement between Russia/NATO that we will never attack Russia unless self defence and vice versa.
The compromise deal is:
- Power sharing in the Donbas...
He can be as stubborn as he likes mate but the sad truth is it’s not his call. If the US get itchy feet Ukraine won’t be able to fight on.
The compromise deal is:
- Power sharing in the Donbas with a referendum in 10 years to decide if they want to be part of Russia or Ukraine.
- 100 year lease of Crimea by Russia.
If offered something along those lines they are taking that all day long. That’s defeat for Russia but gives them something they can spin as victory.
The cherry on top would be:
- Ukraine join NATO (well we need them on side now as they have all our weapons!).
- A peace agreement between Russia/NATO that we will never attack Russia unless self defence and vice versa.
Apparently he is a devout Chistian believer in God, and a gun enthusiast.
BREAKING…Putin won’t agree to a Referendum unless they get to run it. And if he does the result will be in before the polls close.
Why would Ukraine enter into any agreement with a country that never keeps to them.I agree with all of that.
I know Zelensky likes to give it the big'un (and rightly so) but a part of any peace negotiation is ultimately going to involve Ukraine officially giving up Crimea IMO.
I didn’t say that’s what I think should happen, I said that’s what I think will happen. Why would Ukraine enter into any agreement with a country that never keeps to them.
Would you?
Apparently he's a ****.
In WW2's case with people sitting around a table doing shots of cyanide.I didn’t say that’s what I think should happen, I said that’s what I think will happen.
Most wars end around a table. It’s how it works.
