Russian invasion of Ukraine

But they aren't destroyed. 9 of those "destroyed" are being rebuilt at facilities in Poland. There was an article on it somewhere on how modern NATO/western vehicles are moduler and can be rebuilt even from serious damage - often with parts salvaged from one vehicle being able to repair another.
Maybe thats where i seen it and read it wrong.

The Oryx definition of "destroyed" indicates it can't be repaired near the battlefield. OK but not necessarily totally destroyed.

Incidently, the survival rate of crews in these NATO/Western vehicles is way, way better than Russian vehicles.

The Russians created a fist for a breakthrough in the Kupyansk direction — the commander of the Ground Forces

"The enemy's goal is to break through the defenses of our troops and go directly to Kupyansk. The fighting is extremely intense now. Individual positions have changed hands several times over the past few days."

Think the Russian command could be at sixes and sevens....
2 units being pulled from Avdiivka area to strengthen the Southern front.
The last elite Russian unit in the whole of Donbas has been ordered to the front at Bakhmut.

I haven't posted anything negative about Ukraine or the Ukrainian army. I haven't commented on how the Ukrainian army is doing in the war or in general. I leave that to other posters to do.

I have read this thread from the start. I only post on it randomly. As stated, good and bad news. I don't go fishing for articles to post to cause an adverse reaction and upset on purpose. I try and balance my posts out.

I don't comment on what Spiderboy posts. Nor do I question what he posts. I have no doubt he posts what he posts from reliable sources and in good faith.

May I just remind some of you who maybe questioning my motives. Both my parents are Hungarian. Sadly both have passed away. They escaped the Russian occupation of Hunagry, along with my Brother and my Sister, and they all made a life in the UK, and contributed to this country throughout their lives. I have no love or affiliation for Russia.

One more point. I have seen more Russian soldiers and Russian armoured vehicles in Budapest in the 70's than most of you will ever see in your lives.
Grozny 94-95.

The bravery required to be the first ones that cross and secure the bridgehead.

Along with prisoners, they got documents with information about their orders, attack plans, trench maps and firing positions....mobile phones and radios equipment and weapons.
