A key take out from that very interesting article is....
The climate is as as follows down south:
The mud season doesn't really start till mid November down south and its dependent on less evaporation as tge temperature falls.

But this year s been drier than normal since August and the next 30 days are below average rainfall again and temperatures higher than normal. Both of these mean the mud season in the south will probably later.

Indeed it might be Dec, Jan, Feb when it gets a bit muddy - and it might not freeze much at all...

Also the soils south of Tomak are more sany than loamy so once they are reached mud probably won't be an issue at all.

So a US government shutdown was averted for 45 days but only by stopping Ukrainian funding.
But MAGA's joy will hopefully be short lived. They don't have a majority in the Republican party to stop funding being voted through by the Democrats.
