Russian invasion of Ukraine

left bank

To be fair, If I was a Russian commander who had the ability to manouvre, I would retreat out of range of Ukrainian artilary and build up forces for a massive counter attack come the winter - with the ability to shell any pontoon bridge that is put up.
Supplying forces across a wide river is very difficult without total air superiority.
Sending forces into slaughter zones as the Russian's do is simply crazy - or "Crazy Ivan" as I call it now (because they do it all the time).

The United States bought 60 Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns from Jordan for Ukraine.
Different version with a Dutch radar sold from Netherlands to Jordan in 2013. De Telegraaf reported about this.

These air defense systems will be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine within the framework of American military assistance.

The U.S. government paid for these anti-aircraft guns $118 million. Funds are allocated as part of the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).
