Russian invasion of Ukraine

Modi has hugged Sunak, Trump, Biden, Netanyahu, MBS and other Gulf leaders as well. It's just his style, you don't have to read more into that. The comparison with Hitler is way off. I'm not a fan of Modi or his right wing party, but this is not his decision, this is kind of a national sentiment (to generalize) towards Russia.
Putin IS a genocidal maniac, so the comparisons with Hitler are most apt...

And how do you think the people would have a different opinion if our mainstream media report in favour of Russian views and their security concerns. Our External Affairs Minister S.Jaishanker gets questioned by this all the time from Western journalists, but he skillfully uses a lot of whataboutery and defends his position well, and is among the most adored in the cabinet. He is the one who came up with the infamous "Somewhere Europe has to grow out of the mindset that Europe’s problems are the world’s problems but the world’s problems are not Europe’s problems." These sound bytes are well received by an increasingly nationalistic audience.

It's easy for you to criticize Russia, with you being on the side of NATO, the bit of historical rivalry, the assassinations and the anti-British voices from Russia. None of this applies to India, in fact it's the opposite. So, it takes a lot of convicing to change opinion. It's akin to the US or England changing their policy on Israel. 9 months into the war Piers Morgan is still asking Israeli criticizers about October 7th. Your PM, Sunak was wishing Netanyahu victory on his genocidal campaign. That's your media and the government. National interests comes first for everyone.
Rubbish. There is only ONE country that has invaded another (with zero provocation), with the intent to wipe it's identity off the map.
This doesn't come from pro western propaganda or bias, it is a fact.

Keir Starmer gives go-ahead for British missiles to be used in strikes against targets inside Russia

The decision over the Storm Shadow missiles, which has been welcomed by Ukraine, represents a hawkish shift in policy from the stance taken by the former Conservative government.

Signalling the move, but declining to get into "operational arrangements", John Healey, the new defence secretary, told Sky News that Britain "will do all we can to help Ukraine in their fight to repel Putin's invasion".

Speaking in Washington, Mr Healey said: "We provide weapons equipment where we can for them to defend themselves, and as we do for ourselves and any other nation in conflict, we require, because it's international law, that war is conducted within those rules of the Geneva Convention
said: "This morning, I learned about the permission to use Storm Shadow missiles against military targets in Russian territory.

"Today we had the opportunity to discuss the practical implementation of this decision. I'm grateful to the UK for its unwavering support for Ukraine and our people."

However, reacting to the news, Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman said: "If this is so then, of course, this is another absolutely irresponsible step towards escalating tensions and seriously escalating the situation."

Dimitry Peskov told Reuters: "We will be watching this very thoroughly and respond accordingly

Confirmed by several news outlets Putin not happy, :) we’ve always been irresponsible here this time I believe we can be

The USA and Germany foiled a Russian plot to kill the CEO of Rheinmetall, who is sending weapons to Ukraine, CNN writes .

This potential assassination attempt was one of a series of Russian plans to assassinate defense industry executives across Europe who supported Ukraine's war effort.

"When the Americans learned of this effort, they informed Germany, whose security services were then able to protect Papperger and foil the plan."
- the material says.

The plan to kill Armin Papperger, "a white-haired goliath" who has led the German manufacturing charge in support of Kyiv, was the most mature.

For more than six months, Russia has been carrying out a sabotage campaign across Europe, largely by proxy. It has recruited local amateurs for everything from arson attacks on warehouses linked to arms for Ukraine to petty acts of vandalism — all designed to stymie the flow of weapons from the West to Ukraine and blunt public support for Kyiv. But the intelligence suggesting that Russia was willing to assassinate private citizens underlined to Western officials just how far Moscow was willing to go in a parallel shadow war it is waging across the west.

The series of plots, not previously reported, helps explain the increasingly strident warnings from NATO officials about the seriousness of the sabotage campaign — one that some senior officials believe risks crossing the threshold into armed conflict in eastern Europe.

“We’re seeing sabotage, we’re seeing assassination plots, we’re seeing arson. We’re seeing things that have a cost in human lives,” a senior NATO official told reporters on Tuesday. “I believe very much that we’re seeing a campaign of covert sabotage activities from Russia that have strategic consequences.”

India in bed with a war criminal. It's your free choice to ignore basic international law. That's Ukrainian blood on India's hands.
Happy profits then! :))
