Be careful what videos you watch about this. I ended up seeing one of a blown up Russian tank with a dead Russian soldier lying next to it so there's some grim stuff out there at the moment.
The Congo
Meanwhile, guess who said this just the other day?
"The US has decided that it is necessary to send US and other Nato troops to Russia’s borders.
"As I have said elsewhere, this alone should tell us that the claims that Russia is the aggressor here should be treated very sceptically.
"The destabilisation of the entire region comes from the continued eastward expansion of Nato.

Doesn't exist?
There's The Democratic Republic of Congo, or The Republic of Congo, two different countries.
Which is why things like The Ukraine/Ukraine matter...
Not so sure about that. Like @domalino has said, they have the internet however I suspect a large proportion of the population are conditioned to assume news from outside Russia is western propaganda in much the same way that Fox News is the only news channel that nearly half of Americans have been conditioned to believe. And lets them hear

You only have to look at Brexit for the misinformation, on both sides, to see it's not as clear cut as you suggest. It's no 1950 any more. Russia has the internet, they have access to outside news sources, the iron curtain hasn't existed for 30 years - they found ways to get news from the outside during the height of Stalin's reign, they have it in abundance now.
If they believe the propaganda it's because they choose to.
