Russian invasion of Ukraine

Rumours of a big data / system breach was part of the reason why the airports were closed recently.

I have wondered how hard it would be to hack Russian IT systems. The hacking technology that Western firms suffer from is fairly well understood and takes significant ongoing resources to stop. Why would EU nations not be deploying cyber threat techies to UKA to see what can be done.

@SPIDERBOY heard anything on this?

Hackers from Belarus apparently.
So far,it has cost Aeroflot around £50m.

It seems Aeroflot run Windows XP ( not supported by Microsoft since 2014 ) and their CEO has used the same password for 5 years according to claims made by the hackers - if a nuke won't launch how do they fault fix the ignition systems? Ask fucking Jeeves?

Lol you couldn't make this up? Or did you?! It sounds implausible, but obviously not.
 
at the end of the cold war and the collapse of the USSR a lot of now independent states allowed western intelligence in in exchange for help. Their conclusion was the West overestimated the threat - outdated weapons / tanks/ comms etc - seems to me like we are in the same boat again where the Russians are relying on troops from a foreign power to attack on golf buggies - its meat grinder / numbers we can sacrifice for them but its not 1940 anymore
